The best teacher is not the one who fills the student’s mind with the largest amount of factual data in a minimum of time, or who develops some manual skill almost to the point of uncanniness, but rather the one who kindles an inner fire, arouses moral enthusiasm, inspires the student with a vision of what she may become, and reveals the worth and permanency of moral and spiritual and cultural values." – Harold Garnet Black Websites communityplaythings.com inachildspath.com naeyc.org omep-usnc.org earlychildhoodnews.com Inspirational People "Bev Bos' philosophy is simple and is characterized by these developmental education principles: children learn through play, interaction, problem solving, exploration and discovery. Cooperation is more conducive to learning than competition. Children learn best when they can make choices and set their own goals. Each child is unique. Education is an on-going process, which is enhanced when the child, teacher and family...

" Children are blank Canvases, Each person  that touches them is a  brushstroke  on their lives"  Anonymous I love this quote because children thirst for knowledge.  At young ages we mold children's minds and help them develop their own   opinions  ,  satify their  curisoity,   and how they view experiences.   Children have the ability to absorb so much information.  If we engage them the will become a masterpiece.  They will want to learn and they will be confident.  My favorite children's book  is the giving tree. It teaches children about love and  sacrifice .  It describes to them in a way they can understand how to care for someone and give with out expecting anything back.  As my son says like how a mother takes care of her children and how when your mother gets old you need to take care of her.

In my childhood  I was fortunate enough to have a large web to help nurture and take care  of me.  My mother was a single mom who worked as a Board of Education elementary school teacher for 37 years. my parents were divorced by the time I was 3.  While my Dad wa always there  I had 5 women who gave me all they had to help me become the person I am today. First and foremost  is My mother Pamela.  For many years she woke up at 5 am to get ready for work .  She would drop me to my Grandmother Eleanor's house to be taken care of everyday.  My mother in her quest to provide me everything in life worked hard not only as a teacher,  she tutored (still to this day), and she cooked, cleaned and played with me daily.  Even to this day when my boys or I need her she is right here to help us out.  She has always  given with all her heart to fullest capabilities to us.  I had struggles in school as a child ans she made sure I g...
