" The NAEYC Code of Ethical Conduct offers guidelines for responsible behavior and sets forth a common basis for resolving the principal ethical dilemmas encountered in early childhood care and education."  The NYAEC Ideals that resonate with me as a professional are the following:


I-1.1—To be familiar with the knowledge base of early childhood care and education and to stay informed through continuing education and training

I-1.8—To support the right of each child to play and learn in an inclusive environment that meets the needs of children with and without disabilities.

I-1.12—To work with families to provide a safe and smooth transition as children and families move from
one program to the next.


These ethics stay with me because there is such  an importance for educators to stay current and educated.  Techniques and skill sets change over time and new and current techniques and information need to be incorporated into our work.

All childrens should be afforded the right to be involved in programs that include children with or without disabilities.  It is important that all children learn to work together.  Children with disabilities have t right to be part of social and educational settings.

As educators of young children part of our job is to help support not only the children but their families.  We need to provide as much information available and help the families understand any processes or procedures  that happen during transition.

    I agree with the statement about teaching styles and techniques. New research and information is being discovered daily, therefore as educators we must make it a priority to incorporate new teaching techniques according to the needs of the students.

    This is something that as special education does each year in an IEP meeting. This helps prepare the students for the next year and for them to have a smooth transition.

Research Simulation

                             Why is your simulation important to the field of early  childhood? My simulation regarding the difference in quality of early  childhood education between high and low income levels is  important because All children should be afforded the same quality  education no matter what their economic status.  Once we can identify the gaps in quality we can fill the voids and ensure all children are provided the same education.  If you were to conduct your simulation proposal, who would benefit? Immunization

According to vaccines.gov safe and effective vaccines have eliminated some diseases like small pox and Polio which in the past have killed thousands of people.  New vaccines are only releases and administered after long and careful research.  Getting vaccinated and following a schedule can protect not only children and adults but also babies who may not be of age to receive certain vaccines. (vaccine.gov). The importance of getting vaccinated against worldwide illnesses before traveling outside the United states is extremely important to protect yourself from diseases we do not have in our country and to ensure not bringing the illness back to our country and causing an epidemic.
